The CCNE has established three core facilities to support research activities.
- Validation Core
- Nanoparticle Engineering Core
- Bioinformatics and Datasharing Core
The Validation Core provides support in pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic characterization of nanoparticle systems, along with pre-cGLP manufacture and assessment of safety/toxicology on the most promising systems. The validation core is led by Martin Pomper.
Nanoparticle Engineering Core
The nanoparticle engineering core supports projects through fabrication and characterization of a wide range of nanomaterials and the development of new protocols for nanoparticle fabrication and development. The nanoparticle engineering core is led by Peter Searson.
The bioinformatics and data sharing core provides biostatistics support to the projects and establishes mechanisms for data sharing and data management. The bioinformatics and data sharing core is led by Rafael Irizarry and Jeff Leek.
